In April, 1948 a Diamond driver witnessed a gun battle between his passenger's husband and son. Nobody was hit. He radioed police who arrived to find the husband frying a batch of eggs. The man was fined $10 and given a 90-day suspended sentence. Northern Virginia Daily, 1948-04-19 p. 6.
